The Block It was a pleasant afternoon and I was sitting on the front porch when Dad came outside and said, "I'm gonna go walk around the block. Are you coming?" I was tired, but slowly I got up and ran down the sidewalk after him. We got to the corner and I followed Dad across the street as we headed into town. I hadn't been around there very often, so I glanced at a few of the stores. None of them looked too familiar other than what I'd seen from my parents driving through there.
